Slumdog Millionaire

• In the film, the theme of destiny is a central theme. What does it mean that all Jamal desires is just out of his reach? (The prized autograph, Latika, his brother, the answers, etc.)
That all that he wants is always too far from him. Most of the most important thing sin his life were not concecuences of his own choices. Even though, "destiny" makes that in one way or another he gets something that maybe it wasn't what he wanted (except for Latika), but that will help him get to his main desire.

• Compare and contrast three pivotal choices or decisions made by Jamal and Salim. How do their choices affect their respective paths in life or “destinies”?
First of all, when they accepted Latika with then when young, eventhough Salim didn't want her in. Then Salim and Jamal scaped from the bad guys, but left Latika back. Then Jamal convinces his brother to go rescue Latika, and by the way Salim kills the bad guy. Then they stayed with his money and began to live the three of them together, but then Salim kicked Jamal out and they lost comunication after, years later, Jamal decided to search them.He first found Salim, who told him he didn't know were Latika was., bus Jamal followed him and discover that Latika was with a bad old guy, which Salim works for. Then he rescue Latiak again and after that he won the game. Without does decisions they made the story wouldn't have been possible, and so the movie.

  1. I agree that on the decition that Salim took on killing the bad guy, he got defined as a type of guy that does dirty work.

  2. I love that Jamal believed in destiny, I really like his character he is so sweet and naive even though he grew in the streets. He fights and in the end he gets tobe with Lathika and wins the game. I like him, he reminds me of a friend. <3
