The chaos and the constant noise and motion of Mumbai at the center of the film, (supported by a fabulous soundtrack) are contrasted with a deeper silent seeking. Describe what each of the main characters is seeking.
- Jamal is a poor kid that has an ambicious brother. Jamal is a very good guy and he is intelligent too, so he tries to survive in his world, and when he is all grown up he gets into this television show, hoping that he will find Latika throughout that show, to show his feeling for her.
-Salim, he is an ambicious type of guy, and he always try being better then his brother. Salim got a good job, it kind of a mafia type of job, but to him it didn't matter because he was earning alot of money. He was just trying to inrich him self but in the wrong way.
-Latika was a very unfurtunate person, after the lost of her parents. Latika wanted to find her self and at the same time she wanted to find her friends, Latika got married to a very rinch guy that didn't care about her that much, and abuse of her, she tried to escape with Jamal and get her freedom back.
In the final scene, we see Salim and the choice he makes - filling the bathtub with money, etc. Why does he make this choice?
I guess that the reason on why Salim took that choice was because since he was a kid his family didn't have that much money.So at the moment that he realize that he was going to die he decided to die with the thing he earn the most his money.
This film weaves together nightmare and impossible dream. What do you take away as the mostimportant message or impression from the film?
I guess that the message that th movie give us is that it doesn't matter who you are you can always be a champion in your life, and that also money is not the happiness of the world but Love is the happiness of the world.

I like your interpretation of the things, I honestly had not thought that way about Salim's last actions. But you're right, he never had that much money and the moment he knew he was going to die, he did it literally bathing in money. I think Salim is an interesting guy.
ResponderEliminaryeah i alsoo like your point of view, eventhough I didn't saw the movie complete, but yeah, Salim was interesting as Caral said. I also think that Jamal is a very lucky man. I mean to live and survive all tha things he had to pass by, it was luck what maked him stay.
ResponderEliminarI actually thought that Salim had bathe in the money becuase once the money was wet xD it would loose it's value, or something like that but you idea makes a lot more sense.
